This page takes a snapshot via your webcam at fixed intervals and uploads them for display.

When you click start camera, a snapshot is taken immediately, then images are snapped every 60 seconds until you stop.

Currently works best in Google Chrome on desktop/laptop.

Not recommended for Mobile, although it does kinda work.

On a Mac, this will hold the camera stream on an ongoing basis, on other systems it will release after taking the snapshot and recapture 60 seconds later. This is supposed to fix a bug on Macs but maybe the bug doesn't even exist so idk, might delete later. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You must log in in order to upload images. If you "start camera" without logging in, you will see your snapshot, but it will not be uploaded.

Your last snapshot will persist on the site after you stop camera or close the window.

This is an Alpha release - expect weirdness, bugs and tears.

What is this?

In the early days of "webcams" quality was low, and bandwidth was at a premium. Streaming live video and audio was out of the question.
Many an isolated computer enthusiast pointed a webcam into their space and used software on their PC to upload a snapshot at fixed intervals.

This lo-fi solution let us see our friends, and our friends see us, often for the first time. There was no audio, there was no video, it was just a still frame, snapped unceremoniously every now and then.
While modern streaming has it's place, this classic webcamming has one too. See your friends, your family, your co-workers, but without the intrusion of real-time video or audio connections.

Fix Safari on macOS?? Maybe still broken, doesn't work for Cliph.

Get rid of iframe and refresh individual images in-place
